Thank you for using the website www.abudhabiart.org(“Website”), and is operated by the Abu Dhabi Arts Society (“ADAS”).

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis on which ADAS collects, uses and discloses personal information obtained from you when using the Website.

This Policy is effective from September 2019.

By visiting the Website, and/or by using any services provided via this Website, you expressly agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy and you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

ADAS may amend this Policy at any time without notice, and such amendments become effective from the date upon which they are made available on the Website. You are encouraged to frequently visit this Policy in order to be updated about the changes on the Website.

If you choose to limit the way in which you want ADAS to collect, use or disclose any information, then you acknowledge that some aspects of the Website may not be available to you.

Any credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties. 

The Website Policies and Terms of Use may be changed or updated occasionally to meet the requirements and standards. Therefore Users are encouraged to frequently visit these sections in order to be updated about the changes on the website. Modifications will be effective on the day they are posted.

1. YOUR INFORMATION

2.1. ADAS uses General Information to help make the Website more useful to visitors (including to help assess content of interest to visitors), and for other purposes such as determining the Website’s technical design specifications and identifying system performance or problem areas, for tracking activity on the Website, preparing reports, assessing trends, and otherwise monitoring the way in which the Website is being used – none of which would be in a way that could personally identify any user.

(b) improve our services, and provide this Website;

3.1. You agree that ADAS may share your Personal Information with any suppliers or subcontractors (“Suppliers”) that are assisting ADAS with the operation of the Website and who have agreed to abide by the terms of this policy.  By submitting your Personal Information you agree to this transfer, storing and processing.

You may choose to provide your Personal Information to the Suppliers or other users of the Website and, in this case, ADAS is not liable for the manner in which that Supplier or third party deals with your Personal Information.  ADAS recommends that you clearly establish the way in which that Supplier or third party can use your Personal Information before you provide it to them.

4.1. Whilst ADAS has put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to secure and safeguard your Personal Information, ADAS cannot be held responsible for any unauthorised access by third parties and ADAS cannot guarantee that the Personal Information provided by you or that is transmitted via this Website or by e-mail or otherwise online is totally secure and safe.

5. COOKIES

The Website uses cookies, which are files that, from time to time, store information on your hard drive that allow a website to recognize users, track new users and to record session information.  Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies but if you choose you can disable the cookies from your browser. This may affect the operation of the Website in a minor way only.

6.1. Where the Website provides links to other third party websites not within the control of ADAS,  ADAS advises you to exercise caution, and review and understand the privacy policy of each such website before submitting any of your Personal Information to them. 

6.2. In addition, the existence of such a link does not in any way indicate that ADAS endorses or otherwise supports the third party website or any material contained within that third party website.  All users should exercise caution and undertake appropriate investigations before interacting with the third party website in any manner.

7. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Policy, as well as your access to the Website, is subject to and governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Any dispute regarding this Policy or the handling of your Personal Information and General Information will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in Abu Dhabi.
